Rice Flour Murukku

In Andhra Pradesh festive savouries are made few days ahead and enjoyed on the eve and on the festive day and savouries recipes are called "Pindi Vantakaalu". Pindi Vantakaalu are enjoyed at tea time , as time pass munching snack.Last year i made Chegodilu as diwali savouries in #foodiemonday event, which are my all time favourite. 
And today's recipe is Murukku which is famous south indian snack which is made with different variations and are made mainly with Rice flour and Urad Dal Flour, its easy to make and easily gobbled up in no time...so lets check the ingredients and method.

Total Time: 30mins
serves:4

1 cup:250 ml
1 tablespoon: 15ml
1 teaspoon:5ml

Ingredients


Rice Flour: 2 cups
Urad Dal Flour*: 1/2 cup
Ajwain /caraway Seeds: 1 teaspoon
Salt: 1 teaspoon(to taste)
Water as required for binding

Urad Dal Flour is easy to make ...simply dry roast dal until it slightly changes colour and blend to fine powder and your Urad Dal Flour is ready to use.

Directions

Combine all the ingredients and make a soft dough. 
Grease the Murukku maker press with oil and keep the suitable design plate and fill the dough and squeeze on the  plastic paper in rings.
Heat the oil and slowly transfer the pressed murukku in to the oil and fry until it turns golden brown.
