Pav Bhaji is Mumbai's popular street food which is popular across all over India. Pav is Indian bread which is similar to buns and Bhaji is nothing but a combo of various seasonal veggies and some spices. Pav Bhaji is deliciously yummy and is more than a snack and can be served for breakfast or light lunch/dinner. Today's recipe is basic version and easy to make and requires few basic ingredients.
Its been a month i have posted any recipe and even today i thought i wouldn't be able to do because of activities going on and i am unable to give time to my little diary and some how i made it at last . With no blah blah further check out how to make famous indian street food....yum

Serves: 4-6
1 cup: 250ml
1 tablespoon: 15ml
1 teaspoon: 5 ml


Ingredients


Pressure Cook:
Potatoes : 2 large
Green peas: 1/2 cup
Tomatoes: 2 large
Salt to taste

For masala
Butter: 2 to 3 tablespoons
Onion: 1 large
Capsicum: 1 medium
Ginger Garlic paste: 1 teaspoon
Chilli powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 teaspoon
Paav Bhaji Masala powder: 1 1/2 tablespoons
Salt to taste
Red edible colour (optional i skipped it)
Water as required

For serving
Lemons wedges
Chopped onions
Chopped Coriander
Butter


Pav(buns): 6-8

Chopped coriander for garnish

Directions

In pressure cooker add all the ingredients under pressure cook section and here for 4 to 5 whistles. Set aside and let it cool completely. Mash the veggies very well.
In a pan add 3tbsps butter add onions and fry until onions turn transparent. Now add ginger garlic paste and cook until raw smell of ginger is gone.
Now add finely chopped capsicum, turmeric and cook for 2 or 3 mins.
Now add the mashed pulp into the pan and now add Chilli powder,Paav Bhaji Masala powder,Salt, Red Food colour and water as required and mix it evenly and cook on low flame and cook for another 5 to 8 mins until desired consistency. And your Bhaji ready to serve.

Serving 
Slit the pav(bun) in half horizontally leaving the edges.
Apply butter on both slit sides and toast it on pan on both sides.
In a plate place toasted pav(bun), prepared Bhaji and garnish with chopped onion, coriander, butter and server along with some lemon wedges.
