Chinese Scallion Pancake Recipe

If you love chinese food or Indochinese food then you will surely love these savoury pancakes. These are rich, flaky, crispy and totally moreish dish. When i saw this on youtube, i felt so happy that these are super easy to make and it was sure that it was to our tastebuds...so with no other thought i gave a try and it turned out super tasty..
Chinese Scallion Pancakes are famous breakfast and street food in china and east asia made with spring onion as the key ingredient. This pan-fried bread has a lot in common with Indian parathas and are easy to make at home.These tastes awesome with sweat and sour sauce or with any favourite dips or some spicy curry. 1 cup:250 ml

Ingredients

All Purpose Flour/ Maida/ Plain Flour: 1 1/2 cup
Scallion / Green Onion: 3/4 cup (chopped finely)
Warm water: 1/2 to 3/4 cup as required
Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
Oil for drizzling while frying

Directions

In a bowl add Flour, salt and add warm water to form a dough. Apply oil to the hands and knead for 3 mins and rest the dough for 20 mins.
Divide the dough in 6 equal portions or to desired size.
Roll the dough ball apply oil on it and sprinkle the flour and add chopped spring onion and roll it in cylinder form and then bring it to spiral shape.  Again dust the flour and roll the stuffed spiral dough to a flat bread shape and toast the bread on both sides with oil and serve hot with your favourite sauce.
