Easy Summer Cucumber Salad Diet Recipe


Hi friends, today's recipe is best in diet. This is quite easy to make and very filling. This salad is very refreshing and coolant to your body. This salad needs very few ingredients and tastes great and filling.
I love salads and You may also find other  salad recipe in this blog; I have shared summer berry salad, ABC salad, Russian salad and many more.

serves:1-2

1 cup:250 ml
1 tablespoon: 15ml
1 teaspoon:5ml

Ingredients
Cucumber: 2 cups small chunks
Cheery Tomato: 1/2 cup
Red Onion: 1 small
Coriander : 1/4 cup chopped
Lemon: 1/2
Salt to taste
Chilli Flakes to taste
Black Pepper to taste 
Olive oil : 1 tBSP



Directions

Chop the veggies.
In a large bowl add all the ingredients and mix well.
Enjoy this as lunch or dinner or as aside dish.

Hi friends, today's recipe is Dry fruit ladoo. This ladoo is very easy, quick and healthy. The good thing about this ladoo is , its no sugar, no jaggery used in it and the sweetness comes from dates and which also acts like a binder for the ladoos.
Ladoos are very common and famous dessert in India, these are made with lentils, semolina, coconuts, and with many more things. Ladoos are famous for special occasions and during festivals like diwali, holi, rakhi and also as edible gifts during Eid, Christmas.

Level: Easy
Makes: 10 -12 ladoos
1 cup: 250ml
1 tablespoon(TBS): 15ml
1 teaspoon(tsp): 5 ml

Ingredients

Ghee (butter) :2 TBS
Cashew :50 gm
Almond: 50 gm
Walnut: 50 gm
Dates : 175 gm (pitted dates)
Poppy Seeds: 1 TBS

Desiccated Coconut : 2 cups
Condensed Milk:1/2 cup
Cardamom Powder: 1/2 tsp
Rose Syrup: 2 TBSP


Directions

Heat butter in a pan, add cashews, almonds and walnuts, fry until colour changes on medium flame. Keep them aside and Let the dry fruit cools down and then blend to coarse powder. Keep aside
Add dates in remaining ghee and fry until dates becomes soft and then add poppy seeds and fry for 30secs more. Make smooth paste and then Add to dry fruit mixture and mix well with hand.
Make small walnut size ladoos.

Oats Dosa | No rice No feremtation Instant Dosa Recipe | Healthy Breakfast recipe | Flavour Diary



Hi friends, today's recipe is quick easy and instant healthy breakfast with Oats. The best part of this recipe is there is no rice or  needs no fermentation.This is one go to recipe for a lazy day. This recipe makes 6-8 dosa's pancakes and this can be enjoyed with chutney or podi or sambar.

Level: Easy
Makes: 6+ Dosa
1 cup: 250ml
1 tablespoon(TBS): 15ml
1 teaspoon(tsp): 5 ml

Ingredients

Quick Oats -1 cup
Semolina (suji) - 1/2
Yogurt: 3/4 cup
Ginger : 2 inch
Green Chillies: 2 
Onion: 1/4 finely chopped 
Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp
coriander: 3 TBSP finely chopped
Water as required
Salt to taste
 Oil  for drizzling on dosa


Directions

In a blender add oats, semolina and blend to fine powder.
Then add ginger, green chillies, yogurt ,salt, cumin and little water and blend it to smooth paste.
Add little water to the blender and clean it and pour it in dosa batter.
Now add onion, coriander and mix well and keep it aside for 10mins.
After 10 mins, add water (optional) for dosa batter consistency
Heat the pan and add a ladle full of batter and then spread as pancake. Cook on both sides until golden brown and take it out. 
Serve hot with chutney or sambar.

How to make easy Idli recipe using Idli Rava | FlavourDiary | Healthy South Indian Breakfast


Idli recipe using Idli Rava

Hi Friends, today's recipe is one of the famous South Indian breakfast called Idli. Idli's are soft and spongy round shaped steamed rice-lentil cakes , usually served along with Sambar and Peanut Chutney or coconut chutney. Idli's are traditional , healthy breakfast and common in every south indian household.
Idli can be prepared using different types of lentils(Urad dal, Moongdal ...) , millets (Jowar Idli) and with Rice Rava (aka Idli Rava or Cream of Rice). Today's recipe uses Rice Rava instead of Plain Rice to give it a grainier. Rice Rava Idli has grainy texture compared to the Idli made with rice. Batter needs to be fermented to make it soft and spongy.

Ingredients

Urad Dal: 1 cup
Idli Rava: 2 cups
Salt to taste
Baking Soda: 1/8tsp (A pinch)
Water for batter consistency


Directions

Wash and Soak Urad Dal for 4 hours.
Add Sufficient water to Idli rava and keep aside for 10 mins.
After 4 hrs grind urad dal to fine paste and add it to soaked Idli rava.
Mix well and let it ferment overnight.
Next day add salt to taste, baking soda and water to adjusting to idli batter consistency and mix well.
Grease the oil on Idli plates and then pour the batter in the plates.
Prepare the steamer and place the plates in the steamer and cook for 10-12 mins on medium flame. Turn off the stove and let it rest for another 5 mins and then take the plates off and remove the Idli's.
Your Idli rava Idli's are ready and serve hot with Chutney of your choice and sambar.

1 cup:250 ml

Ingredients

Sorgum (Jowar): 1 cup
Rice: 1/2 cup
Urad Dal: 1/2 cup
Fenugreek Seeds(Methi): 1 tsp 
Salt to taste
Water for grinding


Directions

In a bowl add Jowar, Urad Dal and Rice, wash 2 times thoroughly and then add water for soaking. Add Fenugreek seeds and Soak for 5hr minimum or overnight. 
Drain water and add to the mixie/blender and water for grinding.Make the batter smooth transfer to the bowl and let it ferment overnight(in winter) or for 5-6 hrs (in summer).
Add salt to the perfectly fermented batter and then add water as desired for idli batter consistency.
Grease the oil on Idli plates and then pour the batter in the plates.
Prepare the steamer and place the plates in the steamer and cook for 10-12 mins on medium flame. Turn off the stove and let it rest for another 5 mins and then take the plates off and remove the Idli's.
Your Healthy tasty Jowar Idli's are ready and serve hot with Chutney of your choice and sambar.

Bottle Gourd Lauki Sorakaya chutney recipes


Bottle Gourd is also know as Dhoodi,Lauki in hindi, sorakaya in telegu in India.Today's recipe is Andhra style bottle gourd chutney. This is easy,tasty, spicy chutney that goes well with idli, dosa or rice. 
Bottle Gourd is versatile vegetable and we can make many dishes with it from appetizer to dessert. And today's chutney recipe is one among it. We can use this chutney as a spread on the bread for making sandwich too.
You can keep this chutney in an airtight container for 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
Bottle Gourd has cooling properties and hence it is consumed mostly during summers and not during winters and monsoon.

Serves: 3-4

1 teaspoon(tsp): 5 ml
1 tablespoon(TBSP): 15ml
1 cup: 250ml

Ingredients
Chana Dal: 2 TBS
Coriander Seeds: 1 tsp
Oil: 1 tablespoon
Bottle gourd: 200gm
Green Chillies: 3-4 to taste
Tomatoes: 200gm
Turmeric: 1/4 tsp
Salt: 1 tsp to taste
Tamarind: 1 inch
Fresh Coriander: 1/4 cup chopped


Tadka:
Oil: 1 TBS

Mustard Seeds: 1/2 tsp
Chana Dal :1 tsp
Cumin Seeds: 1/2 tsp
Dry chilli: 2
Curry Leaves: 1 spring



Directions

In a pan add Chana dal and roast until dal changes the slight colour. Add Coriander seeds and saute for 30secs and transfer to the blender.
 Add oil, bottle gourd and green chillies and cook until bottle gourd is half cooked on medium flame.
Add  Tomatoes, Turmeric, Salt and Tamarind and cook until tomatoes turn mushy. Add fresh coriander and cook for 30secs. Let the mixture cools down n then shift it to blender along with chana dal and blend it to smooth paste.

Tadka:
In a small pan add oil. Once oil is hot add mustard seeds, when seeds starts to crack, add Chana Dal , Cumin seeds,  curry leaves, Dry red chilli. Fry until chana dal change colour and pour it on chutney and mix well.
